About the event
The Early Childhood TICN committee is a collaborative effort between SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) and the Virginia Association for Infant Mental Health (VAIMH) and is dedicated to fostering a professional community for those working with early childhood populations. This group brings together early childhood professionals to share best practices, resources, and program development strategies, focusing on the unique needs of early childhood and early childhood mental health. Through regular convenings, members will engage in collaborative efforts and community initiatives aimed at addressing these critical needs from a culturally responsive, trauma-informed perspective. The group's work is particularly attuned to the impacts of race-based trauma and bias, ensuring that all practices are equitable and inclusive. This partnership represents a commitment to building a resilient, informed, and supportive community that prioritizes the well-being of young children and their families. Join us at the next TICN meeting to learn more about this new committee and the community-based initiatives of Virginia’s Association for Infant Mental Health.
