About the event

Synopsis: Historically, the United States was comprised of people of mostly European descent who spoke English as their primary language. As people continue to immigrate to the United States, they bring with them different cultures, ethnicities, and languages. Although some immigrants speak English, they continue to face raciolinguistic bias in American schools. In this panel discussion, participants will share their own experiences with raciolinguistic bias and examine its existence in early childhood classrooms.
