Under the leadership of VAIMH's new Executive Director and President, members of the VAIMH Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and IECMH applicants and endorsees participated in our first ever IECMH Advocacy Day. Groups met with legislators at the General Assembly building on Friday, January 12, 2024 to share the importance of infant and early childhood mental health and how the needs of these young children exist at the same rates as older children, but are often unmet and can be preventative of later maladaptive outcomes with quality interventions.
